Monitor says no signal after putting in new ram

So I am building a budget pc for my brother and I decided to buy a preuilt system and upgrade it so I bought him a new gpu tested it and everything went perfectly the pc I bought only had 2gb ddr2 ram so I decided to buy 8gb ddr2 and after upgrading the ram the monitor would not show up as well as the led from the pc which would only appear from time to time I have then tried the old ram and I get the same issue i have also tried a new psu, new mobo tested the gpu on my pc it works also when I have the new ram in I get no beeps but when I have the old in I get 2 beeps

Maximum supported RAM for that motherboard is 4 GB

Still doesn't explain why you can't boot with the old ram.
Try 4 gigs, and reset the BIOS again
