Hi,

I have a Intel i7-7700k, ASUS GTX 970 OC and using a Cooler master TX3 EVO CPU Cooler. my GPU idles at about 28 Celsius but my CPU idles at around 56 Celsius which worries me as I'll be gaming a lot on games such as StarCitizen, what if my CPU temp goes too high or is it fine? If not how can I cool it more? I have applied Thermal Paste correctly too.

Thanks.

56C is quite warm but what really matters is your load/gaming temps, try out Star Citizen and see how high the temp gets. Ideally you want to keep it under 80C and if the TX3, as long as it's properly installed, isn't good enough to do that then you will need a better cooler

I think that TX3 cooler is too small (92mm fan with 3 heat pipes) for your i7-7700K.
Specs say it's good for 135W and the i7 is 91W, but it just seems inadequate.
Plus that tiny fan is going to be loud.

Air coolers need to be big and heavy to be most effective.
