I have been getting problems with my computer for the past 4 hours and I am speechless. I have tried a ton of things and had multiple different errors and I just want it fixed before Christmas.
Current problem:Trying to get past the windows login screen with hyperthreading enabled.
Next problem: I log into windows and my computer loads startup programs. if the CPU experiences any medium to high load, the error WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR flash's for a fraction of a second and the computer shuts off. BIOS was just reset and i have only changed USB settings because my peripherals will not work on xHCI mode. there is not tampering with freqs or voltages. please help!
Specs:
ASUS STRIX X-99 Gaming
EVGA 980 Ti FTW
i7 6800K stock (was OC’d before problems occurred)
Thermaltake 850W smart psu
120gb Samsung SSD (boot)
3TB seagate drive (mass)
4x4 gb 2400mhz ddr4 Corsair
All drives are sata powered
Any and all help will be greatly appreciated
NOTE: The error first happened when i pushed my cache freq on my CPU from 3.1ghz to 3.6 without touching the voltage. Now even on my old stable setting and on DEFAULT settings i get the error.
NOTE 2: I disabled hyper threading and everything worked, but i really want hyper threading so i turned it back on and it is unresponsive on the login screen.
UPDATE: i have reinstalled windows and update to the latest BIOS and it still happens. please help, im not sure why my computer keeps getting this error but i have tried a lot of things and nothing has worked.
