Serious computer issues

First a little background info. I built this pc myself back in 2014, so its still fairly new. I have a gtx 780, gigabyte ep45-ud3p mother board, corsair tx 750w power supply, a intel 3.4 ghz cpu, and Windows 10 installed. i did not update to the most recent version of Windows 10 yet. I tried but started having these issues with my pc. Never had a single issue with my pc untill yesterday.

So onto the problem. Yesterday my computer monitor went black completely, as in it shut itself off and went to sleep. I waited for it to come back and aftee 30 mins i just decided to restart. It got to the windows loading screen and restarted itself. Computer worked as normal after that for awhile but then it did it again.

I decided to update windows thinking that might be the issue, but that is when my computer reallt got <mod edit>. It would no longer load windows as normal and instead it got stuck in a infinite reset loop everytime the windows logo appeared. But that isnt the worst of it. After a few resets it did bring me to the recovery screen. I was able to start in safe mode perfectly fine. I ran full virus and malware scans, nothing came up. Restarted pc and got the same issue of it restarting on the windows logo.

Spent hours in safe mode and decided to say <mod edit> it and do a fresh clean reinstall of windows. Big mistake apparently. Reinstalling windows only made the issue worse because now the restarts prevent windows from reinstalling itself and now i cant go back in safe mode or get back to recovery period. My computer is stuck in a permanent restart loop and all i can do is access bios. At this point im thinking of bringing it to a pc shop as a last resort because i have no clue on what the issue is.

Edit: i forgot to mention that i did try switching monitors out. Same issue even on a different monitor.

Earlier today i found out i was able to use my old win7 disk to reinstall Windows 7. I did that and it worked to a basic degree. Im able to log on with bare bones and basic drivers, basicallt safe mode without it actually being safe mode. Huge success in my eyes as atleast now its out of that restart loop. But the issue is far from fixed. Device manager wont detect my network adapter so i cant get on the internet. And worst of all is when i try to install the nvidia gtx drivers. When that happens my comp goes back into a restart loop, but atleast this time i can go into safemode and uninstall the drivers.

That is the predicament im in now. Windows cant detect my network driver and i cant install my gtx 780 drivers. Btw i tried the "unplug ram and power cables" trick. Left them out for over half a day. Did nothing but waste time. What can i do? I need my computer.

Solution
I doubt it's the PSU only because you had issues with the GTX 780 at POST when it barely draws power from the PSU. You can try it again and if the issue occurs then could you borrow a PSU to be absolutely sure the GPU is defective?

Ok i tried hooking up the gts 250 and surprisingly it works fine. Drivers installed and i can see the gpu in device manager whereas i couldnt see my gtx 780 in device manager. Im also able to get my full 1920 x 1080 resolution where as i wasnt able to before. The mobo network adaptee still isnt showing up however

I tried installing those drivers and i get the message "The realtek network controller was not found. If deep sleep mode is enabled please plug the cable.

how do i check if they are enabled in bios? i did put everything to default settings in bios last night. i bought a wifi usb dongle a few mins ago and im able to connect my PC to the internet using the wifi USB, however the ethernet cable is still an issue, and like i said i got the message i mentioned above when trying to download the drivers.

nvm, it seems all i had to do was update windows 7! (also it was enabled in bios) Which was something i was completely unabled to do before since i didnt have that USB wifi stick. after buying that and accessing the internet with it it seems a simple windows update allowed me to connect to the internet with my ethernet cable. im assuming this rules out the motherboard being an issue?

im kind of afraid to reconnect my GTX 780 right now... however this is a GIGANTIC improvement from compared to the state it was in on friday. from permanent restarts to now being able to access the internet. thanks so much for help GhislainG! should i try to reconnect the GTX 780 and see what happens when i update the driver? not ever going back to windows 10 btw.

Still have the gts 250 installed and so far zero issues. If it was psu wouldn't the gts 250 also trigger the restarts? im just kind of hesitant to put the GTX 780 back in, but if that is the problem then that would be best case for me as i can just continue to use the GTS untill i can afford a new card.
