Hello
I'm currently sitting with an ASUS "Rampage IV" motherboard (https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/RAMPAGE_IV_BLACK_EDITION/) and I wish to upgrade my total RAM memory from 16GB to 32GB.
The RAM sticks currently used in my system are 4 X 4GB Kingston HyperX Beast DDR3-1600 DC 4GB (https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820104362), however since those memory sticks were from 2013(?) it would seem that there's no retailers selling them anymore, there are some on Ebay but I'm rather 'reluctant' to buy anything used when it comes to computer parts/components.
So it's either buying used RAM sticks on Ebay/other or just get entirely new RAM sticks, RAM sticks like the "Crucial Ballistix Tactical" DDR3 lineup which a friend has recommended to me.
My question is 'merely' whenever it would be 'better' to have 8 X 4GB RAM sticks OR if I can 'get away' with using 4 X 8GB RAM sticks?
PS: I'm Using Windows 7 professional which should be able to support 32GB of RAM
