Hey guys,

New here.

Just a quick one. I bought a msi 980ti a few days ago, seems like the card is about 2 yrs old according to the date on the serial on the card.they guy i bought it from never had any issues and only played F1. Before this cars i had a gigabyte gtx970 g1 gaming and temp i used to get was about 58°C to
62°C with insane ram usage (7600mb) i only have 8gig with 80fps.

So my question is, currently this 980ti is running between 68°C to about 79/80°C max (on full load) with less ram usage than before, i only use about 5906mb with this card and get 100 -112fps. (Rust)

My concern is the temp, im not used to temps like these and its quite frightening because i dont have cash to replace the card should it fail. Ive done some research and 95% of the posts i read say that this is a normal temp for for such card.

This is my last resort - should i worry and is this okay/normal?

Sorry, i said that this would be a quick one but any help will be appreciated, im not familliar with msi or TI cards. I know they are quite beefy that about it.

It's about the same quality as what you have.
If it's not actually giving you issues, keep using it. But keep in mind if you start experiencing shutdowns or instability that's the first thing you should target. Your card can hum along using around 230 watts on high load, so actually any reasonable quality PSU at 650 will have the PCie connectors you need.
