DDU or not needed?

So I have in mind that I need to clean my previous drivers if I go from a 950 to a 1060 of NVidia. My question is if I need to use DDU in order to ensure a full clear or I can manually disable them from the programme bar, right clicking and uninstalling or using the GeForce tool that brings NVidia. Many options are available and I'm not sure which one will bring the best outcome. Help would be appreciated. Thanks all!

Lately when I install new Nvidia drivers I just use the 'custom/advanced' option, and then make sure the 'clean installation' option is checked. I have had no problems with that instead of using DDU.
