Just came home for christmas and found out that my brothers PC that he got last year is running out of space, which I found was because his SSD, which is only 96 GB, is installed as his C drive, and his HDD which is 2 Tb is installed as his D drive in windows. is there any way to fix this so that his HDD is actually his C Drive, and he can use this 2 TB of unused space?

Specs: WIndows 10, ACER Aspire T-710.

No, the OS wants to be on C: drive. But what he should have done was to install new pgms, apps, games that take up the most space on the HDD. If he was letting installs choose their own drive, it would have always chosen the OS drive by default. Hence, the overloaded drive. And SSDs slow down when they get nearly full. He should have directed the other installs to the HDD, instead.

You can clone everything on the SSD to the HDD, yes. Or use the Win backup to make a disk image of the SSD and then restore it to the HDD. But that will put the OS on the slower HDD.

The smaller SSD being the C drive is absolutely normal, and the way it should be!

It is running out of space, because you've not managed the space well.
This is a 120GB drive?
