I recently got a fully new PC and the ram isn't getting recognized by the motherboard. You can tell the ram is put in place since one the PC gets turned on the lights on the ram are flashing. I have the Asus Z370 motherboard I think and using 2 8 gigabyte corsair vengeance ram sticks

The lights mean very little. The lighting power does not come through the memory controller, so you can have lights without memory function.

How do you know the memory isn't getting recognized by the motherboard if the system doesn't boot? And if the system does boot, at all, even just to the bios or post screen, then the memory IS getting recognized.

Double or even triple check everything here. Everything:
