Can I oc my Ryzen 5 1500x with a 4pin cpu connector

I have a psu with a 4 pin connector, the system works fine on stock clocks ,but I would like to oc the
cpu to 3.9-4ghz is it possible with this 450w psu?
Cooler master's psu calculator says that it should only use 292w.

Ok. I have never tried to put a 4 pin cpu power in a 8pin socket of the mobo. SO it is new to me. Even I can not think of it why people may try that IT IS NOT RECOMMENDED TOTALLY AT ALL.
Back to the point, please don't do it even for normal use. The 8-pin power connector is there for a reason. Yous should find another 4pin eps power to feed it properly.

Any misunderstanding here? Becs this mobo uses a 8pin eps/cpu power connector. Are you using a 4pin connector in this 8 pin cpu socket? I think it will not work. Need further clarification what is your actual connection for cpu power?
Or your psu has two 4pin split type connector and you have plugged just one?
