Hello, I have build new PC, specs:

mobo: msi z270 gaming m5
cpu: i7 7700k
ddr: g.skill 16 gb (3000, 2x8Gb)
have installed windows 10, and can't fix netwrok issue.

Fighting 2 days with this, I've tryied to reinstall the driver, and killer suite program, didn't help.
Connected my phone and using it as modem - updated all windows packages and installed MSI Live Update 6, checked for latest updates and installed them. But I still got this issue with network.

UPD: Issue was in my LAN cable, I was using 4-pin cable instead of 8-pin. If you have same problem on your new build and you using old LAN cable, please double check it firstly.

Solution
Today engineer from my ISP come to my home, he double checked all the software part. After all he checked the cable, I don't know why I have using a 4-pin cable. He changed cable to 8-pin and after this magic happens. All works now out from the box. I'm happy that my mobo is alive and works fine. For all those who got same problem on new PC, firstly check the cable, new network adapters use 1Gb cables.

UPD: I wasn't thinking about the cable issue because I was using him perfectly on my laptop. That's why I didn't noticed that issue is in LAN cable. Cheers to all!

try to install the latest build of your windows 10 like the latest beta even . and then don't install the drivers that come with the DVD , if you do then download directly from mis's site

I have istalled the latest build win 10 from off site, and driver version was 9.0.0.42, I don't have CD drive so the msi cd is not a solution. I have downloaded latest drivers from msi's website. and still got this problem.

i have the same issue cause i have removed the north ridge heatsink on that mobo , but it usually resovles by itself . maybe what you're connecting is not compatible ? what you're connecting to that nIC ? and with what lan cable mate ?

I have D-Link DIR-300A - have called my ISP and asked for firmware upgrade.

I have my old laptop, when I connect this lan cable to laptop, internet works fine (on laptop I have win 8.1) - so, I think cable isn't the problem.
"i have removed the north ridge heatsink on that mob" - what do you mean by this?

i mean i have removed the north ridge (bridge) ? i'm not sure , heatsink on my motherboard . my mobo is the same as yours

WHOA. Not a good idea there. First, the NB is on the CPU now. Intel used to call the remaining chip the MCH, I'm not sure what they call it now. But to suggest someone to remove the heatsink on it to make the NIC work is just horrible advice. I will repeat, do NOT remove the heatsinks on the motherboards.

In the device manager are there any yellow exclamation points? If the net works on your laptop, I would think the issue is a bad driver for the NIC.

no, I have downloaded the off drivers from msi's site, all of them. 9.0.0.42, 9.0.0.44, 9.0.0.46 - and this bug is still there.

I see that. Can you remove the Iphone and run it again. I can't see the default gateway and I'm wondering if it's because it's using the Iphone.

Edit: The phone works. It has an IP address of 172.20.10.6 and the default gateway (Phone) is 172.20.10.1. Your NIC has an IP address of 169.254.24.243. but the default gateway is blank. It needs to be in the same range as the IP address, 169.254.x.x. I'm drawing a blank on what do to, my network class was a long time ago.

I'have assigned IP manually, still got this issue. Maybe my mobo is dead? or this killer controller?

Ok, 169.254.x.x is the autoconfigure address; it's what a NIC will show when DHCP has not given it an address on the network. You said the cable was good? Did you set up MAC address filtering on your router, so only listed devices can connect? If so, you'll need to add your physical Address, 4C-CC-6A-D8-D8-0A, to your list of allowed connections so it gets an IP address.

As to removing heatsinks, no don't do that, although I don't see that Timmy was recommending it, only that he had done it (I'll not ponder why).

Got this from another forum. Frankly, I'm out of ideas.

In an elevated command prompt reset Winsock and TCP/IP. I believe you can reach an elevated command prompt in Windows 10 by press the Windows key + X.

(command prompt (admin)). Reboot after running the below commands

netsh winsock reset <enter>

netsh int ip reset <enter>

netsh int ipv6 reset <enter>

It really seems to me that for whatever reason your PC isn't seeing the router. My guess would be bad cable but you said the laptop worked fine. Do you have any other NIC? If you plugged a different NIC in and it worked, then it means the port on your board is bad.
