Just wanted to know if the new gpus will be releasing

I currently have a 970 paired with a i5 3570k.

I wanted to upgrade to a 1070 due to there being a sale on an ASUS one

1070 is currently £560 and £375 on sale

Just wanted your opinion, should i buy a 1070 and then trade it in when new gpus launch, or ahould i wait.

My advice is almost always to buy what you need, when you need it. There is always something new coming. If you wait for a time there's nothing new coming, you will be waiting forever.

The 1070 will be great for high refresh rate 1080p gaming for quite a while. Even if something new comes out next year, it won't change the fact that the 1070 is still very good. On the other hand, don't buy something just because it's on sale. There will be more sales, prices do drop over time. So if you don't really need it then it doesn't matter how good a deal it is, you don't need it.

that is what we expect. although we just look at history to predict what might happen. because GPU maker do break their trend from time to time.

The titan v is here already running on volta so I expect them to come out with a statement soon as to when everything will be launching.

Well...

670 2012
970 2014
1070 2016

1170 2018 ?thats my thinking. And with the new titan V(olta)

I was thinking of getting it for 144hz 1080p gaming.

Currently id like to upgrade my CPU (i5 3570)

But even that is pointless due to the CPUs that are going to get better also
