Hi. A year ago i bought a dell desktop (Inspiron 3650) but now i need to upgrade the gpu. I found components that should work: a gtx 1050 ti and a EVGA 500 W power supply. The problem is that i do not know how to upgrade a pc, and i need to know if these components are fine

Solution
The Dell system includes a proprietary wiring scheme and power supply connector. Thus, you can't swap out the power supply without a lot of extra work, special adaptors, etc. HOWEVER, The GPU you noted, gets it's power off of the PCIe connector and still should work with the 240W power supply in your PC.

Do some more online research on " GPU upgrade + Dell Inspiron 3650". You'll find more info on what to do.

Nope, takes a non standard PSU and has proprietary power connections, that PSU won't work with the case or system without a lot of extra work.

Best thing to do would be to sell that one and buy or build a new PC.

A GT 1030 would almost certainly work since its power demands are low(30W). It's not really a gaming card though. A 1050 Ti will probably work, since that CPU is rated at 65W. A 75W videocard plus a 65W CPU means a 140W load, which leaves some room on a 240W power supply. Just make sure the 1050 Ti you pick does not require a 6 pin pci-ex connector.
