I am looking to upgrade my pc for gaming. I would like to be able to play most titles and at 60fps with med- high settings. I also want to be able to play VR in the future.

This is my current part list

I have $550 to spend to upgrade my build. I know i could upgrade things like storage and ram but for now i just want to get a solid build so please avoid picking parts that i don't need. Thanks for your time!

If you want to save money for a better gpu, don't buy the ssd and just add an i5 to your current mobo. However, an ssd vastly improves performance in day to day tasks, and is almost a nessecity, so I highly recomend you get one. Ryzen is in my opinion better than 6th and 7th gen processors, and is on the AM4 platform which has a better future upgrade path. Also, if you can save some more money I would recommend finding the Ryzen 5 1600 on sale for not two much more, I personally have this processor and the two extra cores are worth it.

Thanks for the fast response! does this motherboard support overclocking and what types of games do you play with that cpu and what settings and frames?

Sorry for the late reply, the motherboard does support overclocking as it uses the B350 chipset, for Ryzen Cpu's B350 and X370 chipsets support overclocking, but A320 does not. I would recomend just buying the cheapest B350 motherboard that is micro atx, has four RAM slots, and has decent reviews. As for the framerate in games I play, I do not currently have an overly powerful GPU, just an RX 460, because I am saving up for a GTX 1070 or possibly a 1080ti. I can say from benchmarks I have seen online that it performs very slightly worse than i5s or i7s in most games, but it performs better in most other tasks and the framerate difference is not really noticable.
