Hello people my 750w psu had its 8pin CPU connector fried i got the computer to a repair shop and they told me to put a bigger psu 900w i put the psu i ran the computer for 2 months only the weekends and one day i found fried the 8 pin (extender cable ) again of the new 900w psu .
I ran a test with the Dr power 2 and the CPU voltage was 12.3v - 12.4v .
So is the problem from the motherboard or psu ? If it is the mobo do i need a 3rd psu ?

Yea i was using an extender on my 900w psu because the cable couldn't reach there.
My specs: cpu fx 8150 , mobo asus croshair v formula , psu 1st burned pins XFX 750w , 2nd aqprox 900w

When you were using XFX, it was without extender? Which XFX model it was?
Unless you are running two or more GPUs, 650 W quality unit should be enough. I would not trust that Approx unit, 900 W with only 2 PCie cables? That's a bit shady. Overall, fried connector means too much of current was converted to heat due to resistance, on cable or plug itself. The only fault on motherboard side would be if 8-pin connector was not properly made, which is of course possible but unlikely on high end Asus board.

Yea the XFX was without an extender and i only use one gpu. Also i forgot to note that there is melted plastic in the mobo 8 pin connector and the 4 pin.

Once it got melted, no matter which component fault it was, you can expect the connector to fall out of spec. Bits of melted plastic can prevent good contact between plug and connector, thus creating a gap, that causes additional heat and new melting. So I guess you did not changed motherboard after XFX failed - again no matter if that was mobo fault or PSU fault, it could cause problem with next PSU. In this case, I would exchange motherboard (and of course extender too - make sure it's good quality). While I don't trust your current PSU, I guess its connectors were not damaged, so it can be reused if you are on tight budget.
