3570k is it still good

I only have £160 , I need an upgrade , it 3570k gains 70% more performance over my current cpu is that good ? Does it worrent the upgrade for the money

For that sort of price tag on what I presume is a used CPU, you can probably get an i7-3770(k) instead for another ~30% extra performance in heavily threaded workloads (which includes some current and future games if that's what you want a faster CPU for) from HT and the extra cache.
