Hi,
Could you please advice me whether the SeaSonic S12II 430W Bronze is efficient enough to power this build?

CPU: Intel Core i3 8100 3.6GHz 4/4 6MB
RAM: Kingston FURY 2x4GB DDR4 2400MHz CL15
GPU: PNY XLR8 GTX 770 2GB 1046MHz
SSD: Kingston A400 120GB

Please note there will be no additional HDD nor will overclock.
Many thanks.

The XFX is a good choice. Both are on a lower budget.

Think the XFX might be abit newer. Other thing is that i'm not really sure that XFX still does sell psu's,mean getting new series out (this is an older series, but one of the latest of them),but warranty stil should apply.
It might work with that SeaSonic; however, it is below the recommended power supply requirements for a GTX 770. I would recommend you go with either a bigger power supply or a lower power GPU.

Which parts do you have and which parts are you looking to buy?

I wouldn't risk it. The problem is the GTX 770, that's a power hungry GPU. If you had a GTX 970, then I would say you'll be fine with that PSU.

So here's a thought, either you'll need to upgrade your PSU, OR you could sell the 770 and buy something newer that uses less power and will give better performance.

The 2015 green label CX is considered worse than the 2017 grey label CX.

Are you in the US?

Hi,
Thanks, I know people said to only consider the new grey CXMs.

I live in the EU but there are no problems with shopping in US since we have free delivery to EU .. except we are unable to apply for newegg rabate.
This build is actually for my 14yo brother so he has very limited budget. We are looking for anything less than $45.
We can purchase parts in the EU without tax so it's priced very similary compared to the US.

So far I found these 2 within his budget.
XFX Core Pro 450W
Corsair CX450M (2017)

Do you think 450W is going to be enough? These 520W/550W are quite expensive.
Many thanks.
