I want to build a pc mainly for gaming but I would like to try streaming and video editing as well.

I am extremely torn between ryzen 5 1600 or i5 8400, but I am leaning on the ryzen at the moment.

Here is what I have picked out so far:

Would that be good for streaming and video editing? Or should I just go for i5 8400? And are the other parts good quality?

You'll be fine for gaming. As for the CPU its up to you, what have you used before, you will have to buy a mobo to match the socket so consider the price of that too, currently the mobo choice for the 8th gen Intel is not very vast but if you are willing to compromise a bit of budget you'll be better off with Intel in my opinion as i have an i5-8600K and Im very happy with the performance .

Cheers and good luck,

Intel is a little more expensive and higher quality but the difference between the two is small and is not worth worrying about. The new Ryzen processors do come with a better stock cooler in terms of performance and appearance than than the Intel processors. In the end you will be happy with either purchase so do not stress out about it too much.

Alright, I think I will end up going with the Ryzen then. The Asus board is good then? I would normally buy one from MSI but apparently their ryzen boards are not very good for overclocking.
