Hey there, I got my girlfriend a new computer case for Christmas and after installing all the components into the new case, I was initially unable to turn the computer on at all. After re assembling it outside of the case I was able to determine that the motherboard was shorting while inside the new case due to missing standoff. I then reassembled the components inside of the case and everything turns on and looks good, however when I plugged it in to a monitor I was brought to a screen telling me to reset BIOS settings. After entering the BIOS and hitting save and exit, the monitor loses display and the keyboard seems to become disconnected. Inside the BIOS everything seems to be connected, the boot drive shows up, CPU voltage, fan speed, etc. I have reset the CMOS multiple times as this seems to be the only way to access the BIOS after I save and exit it and the screen goes black. Any help is much appreciated.
I should note that I have also completely reset the cmos by removing the battery and leaving it out for a while then reinserting it. Also, her computer has worked fine for the year she has had it, which leads me to believe I made a mistake while reassembling the parts into the new case. I feel like I have tried nearly everything possible and just can’t find a resolution.
Specs are:
Mobo - ASUS H110M-A/M.2
CPU - intel i5 7500 @3.00GHz
GPU - AMD RX 460
RAM - 8GB ddr4 @2300mhz
PSU - 600w thermaltake
Thanks again and apologies for the wall of text. Any help is greatly appreciated :)

with newer intel mb there two video setting now in the bios you have to be care full of. one is priamny display this is the main gpu the mb will try and use at power up. if it set to auto on thta older mb it may be using onboard video as the first video output and not the gpu. go into the bios and set it to peg/pci as primany display. under it will be muilt monitor support. support to turn on both the intel ipgpu and gpu you have. have it set to on for now. when the video issues is fixed you can swap it to off. on newer pc builds there the main 24 pin cable for power and extra 4/8 pin for cpu/gpu power. most times the 4/8 pin power port on the side of the mb make sure that connected. on your gpu see if al the power ports are filled. some video cards dont need extra power..some use one 6 pin cable. some use 6 and an 8 pin cable.

Hey Alex, I accidentally voted down your post on accident. It won’t let me remove it..
Also, I have no updated the BIOS yet, I figured that wouldn’t be the issue because the PC worked fine just days before

Single ram module installed, it shows in the BIOS that its running at its labeled speed. So not sure if the ram is causing it, will try a different slot and see if that changes anything.

I should note, whenever I want to access the BIOS, I have to reset the CMOS by bridging two connectors on my motherboard. If I do not do that, when I power on the PC I get no display
