So I decided about 2 years ago to bite the bullet and buy a retail machine. Of course I knew that upgrading was imminent at some point. Welp, that time has arrived.
My current machine is an Alienware Aurora R5 and the SSD is nearing full capacity. Unfortunately the drives they usually install are very low capacity from the start. My thought was to install a 500gb or 1tb SSD in addition to my OS SSD and to simply reinstall all my games onto it. Is that an acceptable way of doing it without losing any performance?
Obviously I will be upgrading other components as well but the SSD storage and speeds are my biggest issue as I play some very large titles (a few of which REQUIRE screaming fast HDs) Star Citizen, Battlefront 2, World of Borecraft, etc etc.
Also, any recommendations on brands, specs to look for and any other suggestions would be most helpful.
