Would the core 2 duo e8400 bottleneck a gtx 1030

Hey everybody
I was just wondering if I bought a gtx 1030, would I be able to use it to it’s full potential, with a core 2 duo e8400.
I was also wondering if buying a cheap core 2 quad would change anything.
My computer
P5nsli motherboard
Nvidia 9600gt 512mb graphics card
Core 2 duo e8400 processor
4gb of ddr2 ram
550w power supply
500gb SATA hard drive

Realistically you need a new machine if you want to play games on it, that's anything relatively recent.

You can forget about any AAA games no matter what you do.

But if you are playing old games then the GTX 1030 is fine and if you want to throw money at it an Core 2 Quad might make a little difference depending on the game.

The platform is massively outdated.
