I've never done SLI, but I've been considering it for awhile now. I currently have one EVGA GTX 970 SSC.
I found a GTX 970 (like this: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814487070) on craigslist for $160. It's in good condition for a good price, so I'm figuring it would be a pretty good buy.
But would my EVGA GTX 970 SSC be compatible with the one in the link? Might be a dumb question but I'd rather not mess this up. Also, I'm aware that it would probably be better for me to buy just a GTX 1070 instead of another 970, but I really just don't feel comfortable spending the $450 right now.
I believe my current system could handle this, right now I have an i5 4690k overclocked to 4 ghz, a TX 750M, 16 gbs of ram, and obviously the single 970.
Sorry if this is a little hard to follow, but if anyone could clear up my concerns, that would be great.
