From Ryzen 5 1600 to Ryzen 7 1700x - Framerate issues with game. CPU related?

Sorry if this isn't the correct place to ask this. I had a Ryzen 5 1600 OC'd to 3.8, stable. 3200 DDR4 Ram, GTX 1080. Was running PUBG in 1440p smooth, no issues.

Just upgraded to a Ryzen 7 1700x, at stock 3.4. Temps are great. I'm having the issue of low fps in lobby and stuttering of the mini map during flight. Is this CPU related? Temps during the game are stable at 55-56C. Do I need to reinstall PUBG? Any suggestions?

I know. It's a considerable drop. It's 30-40 on plane, plane not rotating smooth, and stuttering mini map in plane mode. FPS dips into the mid 40s in cities. What gives =(
