Hello ^^

First of all here are my Specs:

CPU: Intel i5-3570k @ 3,4ghz
GPU: AMD Radeon 6670 HD
RAM: 4GB (I will upgrade it to a 8GB)

soo, i love to play Fortnite battle royale, im getting like 60-90 fps but sometimes when i shoot, or move i get fps drops from like 60 to 40 .-. Also i hear that sometimes my sound stutters.
So im wondering, will upgrading to 8gb ram fix these fps drops or is it because of GPU? :/
Because my GPU is better than GPU listed in min requirements of Fortnite.

Thanks ^^

Solution
"We are almost in 2018..80% of the new games released are requiring faster (ddr4) ram to run smootly" This statment is not true, then my PC would suffer in games like Crysis 3, Witcher, GTA 5, COD WW2, FIFA 17, and Wolfenstein The new colosus. It may be true for some other games like Tomb raider, yes he may struggle with 4GB but ram speed isnt much affecting the gameplay other than load times and etc. And forums would say "DDR3 is obsolete in 2018"

Upgrading to 8GB of ram would only help if you are running the 64-bit version of Win7. The 32-bit version can only address 4GB of ram even if you have more than that installed. As far as you FPS drop is concerned, it could be caused by not having enough ram. more likely it is a graphics card issue.

Hello my man. The issue you are having trouble with is probably caused bcs of this :
- ddr3 ram
- not good enough GPU
- 4gb of ram

* People aways say that between ddr3 and ddr4 ram in gaming there isn't big of a difference but its wrong. We are almost in 2018..80% of the new games released are requiring faster (ddr4) ram to run smootly

* Don't aways trust the '' minimum'' and '' required'' systems requirments. There are vids in youtube for this kind of topic you can check out. And I think you should buy a new gpu for this game... A gtx 1050 will be perfect.

* And yes you indeed need 1 more slot of 4GB. 4GB gaming is dead, that's how it is. So getting an additional 4 gigs of ram would reduce the strugguling you are experiencing.

Rober, check out in youtube'' 2133 vs 2400 vs 3200mhz ram'' and you will see that there is a difference in gameplay. Especially in PUBG, ACOR!
Ps: lukabl1 you have a nice taste for games =)) and gl with your pc.

I said in most cases ram doesn't matter, but some games like faster ram as Tomb Raider and PUBG is still in development.
And ram speed benefits more to Ryzen than intel. I only trust LinusTechTips

And ram prices are high for DDR4 now especially for 3000+ would you give 160$+ for 2 sticks DDR4 3000 (cheapest on market)
