Can i wipe my old HDD and use a USB to install Windows 10 onto it?
Will this work? will i face any problems?

I’m pretty sure you have to deactivate windows on the old device first so your product key is available...Assuming it’s a retail version, or you could just use their website to install the installer in the usb without deactivating a thing. From there, you can probably wipe the hdd and keep any needed files there if necessary and install it to the new system. The first method will give you complete access to windows while the second one may limit you in a few ways, but nothing serious
