Need to know my best match to go from 16GB (2x8GB) PC3-10700 to 32GB total, so I need another 2x8GB

The 2 sticks of RAM I have right now are Corsair PC3-10700 (667 Mhz) OC'able to 800 Mhz. Part number is CMZ16GX3M2A1600C9.

My problem is that it doesn't seem that Corsair sells that specific part number anymore. It was made (according to CPU-Z) during Week 30, Year 2012. :/

Solution
Anytime you use RAM not bought as a matched kit it is not guaranteed to work without issue. The only guaranteed option is to sell your existing RAM and try to find a 4x8Gb kit.

Well, just because Corsair isn't selling it directly anymore doesn't mean you can't find it. I was able to find it on Newegg.com from 3 separate sources, ranging from $140 to $240 USD for a kit (https://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&Description=CMZ16GX3M2A1600C9&ignorear=0&N=-1&isNodeId=1).

Actually I'm in Canada and the exchange rate + the possible customs fees would murder me. In fact I'm surprised the prices for what is now such "tame" memory is still so high. My MB is an Asus Z97m-Plus and while it does support 32GB of RAM at the speed my other 2 sticks run at Corsair isn't even ON the vendor list. They're on it for faster RAM but not for the speed of my RAM. I might be able to find RAM made around the same time as mine used and I might shoot Corsair an email and see what they think about adding 2 more 8GB sticks. From my understanding, not being on the list doesn't mean it won't work, it just means Asus won't make any promises.

Thanks

Ugh, that makes it an even bigger expense. :( I know it's probably the safest solution, but considering how long DD4 has been out and DDR5 should be buyable by 2020 the price of DD3 is outrageous. :(

Thanks for the reply though. I may try to find what I need used. Maybe I can find some not only with the same number but maybe I can find something close to the same week/year. Probably a bit much to hope for but it doesn't hurt to try.

Thanks

I didn't consider PC3-12800 the same as PC3-10700. So, unless I'm misunderstanding something, you've found the exact same thing I've found, which is RAM that is close to mine but not exactly the same.

Thanks for replying though.
