Hello forum. Hoping you all had a great holiday!
Anyway, I have run into a bit of an issue that I could use some assistance with. Over the summer, I purchased a WD My Passport 4TB external hard drive. I have been using this to store A TON of my files as I have been using a scrawny 128gb Macbook Air (Mid-2012). I am a university student and do a lot of videography and cinematography as I am studying film. My main issue is that I am selling my laptop shortly after the new year to afford my new pc. I have been using my Macbook air to edit with Premiere and cannot store the mammoth video files elsewhere. These files usually gauge from 1-10gb each. I have around a Terabyte of footage on my drive...
My main concern is that I would not be able to retrieve my files since it is not formatted for PC. I have a desktop at home and even that cannot read my Macbook's external hard drive. Does this mean I will need to reformat the drive to exFAT? If so, how can I spare all of my footage?
Please help! I hope I didn't screw myself over here.
