Hello, I've been trying to connect two computers via ethernet to my SBG6580 modem/router. I know that only works went NAPT is enabled on the modem/router page but I need it disabled as its connected to my netgear router. I read that setting my router as an access point and connecting to my router LAN to LAN could allow me to achieve this but Im not sure that would work and how exactly I would achieve that. Im not the most experienced in computer networking but could resolve this if I understood what I had to do a bit more clearly.

So basically, looking for a way to use my SBG6580 LAN ports as well as wireless on a seperate router. Any help is appreciated

NAPT must be enabled on the Arris to allow use of more than one port.

NAPT must be enabled on the Arris to allow use of more than one port.

To properly configure the Netgear as an AP, you should disable NAT (LAN DHCP) on the Netgear, and keep NAPT enabled on the Arris.
