Hello everyone. So I am finally upgrading from my prehistoric intel pentium\gtx 440 build to something that will provide all the fps needed for the next 5-7 years. I have a list of parts right now, and I wanted to ask if its well rounded for this budget or if I could do something better for the buck.

  • ASUS TUF Z370-PLUS GAMING
    Intel SSD 540s
    Intel Core i7-8700K "Coffee Lake"
Phanteks Eclipse P400S Midi-Tower Tempered Glass
    Kingston HyperX Fury black 2x4GB DDR4 3000mhz
Cooler Master Master Air Pro 3
Corsair CS-Series CS650M 650 Watt OR Sharkoon SilentStorm Icewind Black 750Watt
GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1070 G1 Gaming Rev. 2 8.0 GB
Whole pc is just at my budget, so I can't go too much higher. For the aesthetics I went with a white/black build. At first I wanted to go for 7700k but since I do some programming I felt that 6 cores are a must for me.

Solution

That would actually be quite nice. Captain ex 240 would look nice in my build and will help with overclocking to catch up with i7. I'll look into benchmarks, thanks for the answer!
