Solution
Going to dual-channel mode with your RAM by getting a 2x8GB kit is the only piece I can suggest until you answer questions like "What isn't running as well as you like," and "Do you have enough space?" That will determine if a higher-level CPU is worth the money. Perhaps a nice chair, desk light, speakers, and/or mouse are things you'd appreciate most.
What is the brand and model (not just wattage) of your PSU?
The single 250GB SSD that you have seems small. I'd get another drive for data and backups.

Yeah, the 1500X is 4c/8t, and can be overclocked, so only particular use cases (e.g. rendering) would suggest any benefit from an upgrade. If the OP has a stock Wraith cooler, something inexpensive but good like a Gammax 400 would allow for some decent overclocking.
