Display port to HDMI?

Hey guys, I previously had connected my SUHD 4k/60hz to the hdmi port of my graphics card and my smaller primary monitor to DVI port.

However now I got the HTC vive and I have to use the hdmi port for it, how can I connect my TV to one of the display ports? As only one HDMI connection is available on GTX 1080.

I bought an adaptor from display port to hdmi, however it is not working, no picture on TV.

What could be the reason and what can I do to have my primary screen, TV and Vive connected at the same time? Is there something that I need to enable to use display ports? I reset to default in Bios just in case and still no screen.

Thanks!

Thanks! I have just found out I can connected the HTC Vive with a mini display to displayport cable, so I would just need to purchase such cable and then use the TV with hdmi. Thank you for your help.

DislayPorts on your GPU are enabled by default, and I don't think you can even turn them off without shorting their respective components on the PCB itself. My best guess is that the adapter that you bought was DOA (dead on arrival). If it's not an active adapter it probably doesn't work either. Might want to check with a different monitor.
