So I recently built my first system and there was an issue. My gpu refused to show up in bios or the device manager and just didn´t work at all, except for the light indicating that it had power from the psu. I need help to make it work because it doesn't work with dvi for some reason and i haven't yet tested it out with hdmi but i don't think it will make any change. My monitor is quite old, might that be the reason my gpu doesn't work correctly.
System specs:
I5 8400 (stock cooler)
Z370-a PRO
corsair vengance lpx ddr4 8gb 2x4 2400mhz
Asus gtx 1070 dual oc 8gb
corsair tx 650w
samsung 850 evo ssd (250 gb)

Solution
Try turning the system off and making sure the GPU is seated correctly in the PCIE slot, also make sure it has the additional power required by the PSU (6+2 pin).
