Looking for a reliable (and fast) CD/DVD burner for burning and ripping CD's

Hi;
I have two CD/DVD burners in my Windows box, and both of them have problems. One is an Asus, the other a Plextor - both were supposed to be good drives, but haven't lived up to their reputations for me.

My OS is Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 with all updates installed.

I prefer an internal drive since I have the space and SATA channel available.
My main use for this drive is to burn and rip audio CD's. I purchase a decent amount of music on iTunes, and need to burn, then rip to .flac so I can play the music on my Android phone.
{There are other - possibly better methods to remove DRM from .m4a files, but I don't want to spend $35 on that software when I can buy another 30 iTunes songs for that money, and CD-R's are dirt cheap anyway.)
I also use the drive to burn data dvd's.
Blu-Ray is not a necessity.

I am looking on Amazon and Newegg, and being dismayed to read a good number of negative reviews for just about any drive I choose.
I prefer to spend a little more money on a drive that will make my life easier, than to save a few bucks and have more frustrations.

So, can anyone recommend a drive that will suit my needs?

Thanks
FW

You will never ever match liteon drives for audio ripping use.

Ihas 124-14 one of the cheapest drives around has won the last 3 years on audio ripping accuracy & also the abilitg to rip old or damaged disks when more expensive drives fail.

Look for that kodel as opposed.to the 124-04 which has a different chipset

You will always get some negative feedback , I consider these good drives although theyre certainly not the quietest.

Thanks very much. The drive you linked to got 4+ stars on Amazon, and the price is right so I'll give it a try. I had read somewhere else that Liteon drives were very good for ripping. I use EAC for that purpose. I don't know how much cache that drive has, but honestly I think cache in a CD/DVD r/w drive is somewhat over-played in ratings. My system is fast enough to handle whatever throughput the drive is looking for even with minimal cache. I never try to do 100 things on the PC while burning a disc - which I think has to be the most common problem where users require huge cache in the drive.
