So, i bought a second hand PC and i'm concerned about it's longetivity. The parts are :
CPU - intel core i7-4770 with stock cooler;
GPU - Palit GTX770 Jetstream 2GB;
RAM - 1x8GB Kingston 1600MHz;
HDD - 1xToshiba 1TB;
PSU - 600W with a fan;
I'm using the case's stock fan at the back as an exhaust(120mm).
The PSU is located on the bottom back of the case and draws heat from the GPU, but it isn't cooling enough (when i use heavy programs the GPU goes max to 74 degrees Celcius and i think the CPU - 67-70).
I prefer not to change the CPU cooler and just purchase 1-2 fans.
My goal is to minimize the temperature of the GPU and CPU.
From what i've read i must put one front (140mm) high pressure fan for intake. But i don't know how to put the second fan (again 140mm) on the upper/lower side free slot - as an intake or exhaust.
If i mount it on the lower side as an intake it will blow cool air on the cpu and gpu. And i don't know if it should be a high airflow fan - i read that high airflow would be ok since "nothing" would be blocking the air to it's "target" (CPU, GPU), but the direction of the air pattern will be more straight. On the other hand the high static pressure fan would blow cool air with a wider pattern.
And i have three options for purchase:
1)2xCougar Dual-X Black HB 140 - 26$ (USD);
2)2xCorsair Air Series SP140 - 28.70$ (USD);
3)If i need a high airflow fan -> 1xCougar Dual-X Black HB 140 - 13$ + 1xARCTIC AC F14 - 7,83$ = 20.83$ (USD)
Also, i'm not very sure if the Cougar fans are as durable as Corsair's. Thank you !!
