So I want to upgrade my cpu from i3 7300 to i5 6600 but i dont know if my Motherboad's bios is up to date its bios v 3002 and i5 6600 needs 0203 bios

also the i3 7300 is a 3016 bios but works with my pc fine even tho the asus website said it wouldn't work

Solution
"If your motherboard BIOS version number is greater than the BIOS version listed above, then you will not need to flash your BIOS"
So you don't need to update the BIOS.
What I'm not sure is if the 6600 is a great upgrade from the 7300. I would save some money for an i7.

i'm still considering buying the cpu

"If your motherboard BIOS version number is greater than the BIOS version listed above, then you will not need to flash your BIOS. However, if your BIOS version is smaller than the version listed above, then you will need to select and download the latest BIOS to update your system. We kindly remind you that there is a certain risk level involved in BIOS flashing, please refer to " BIOS Flashing Method ". If you still have doubts, we will strongly advise you to consult with a PC Professional or your PC dealer for further assistance."

Asus says this

also on pcpartpicker if i add any cpus that need 3016 bios it gives me this message

"Some Intel H110 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Kaby Lake-S CPUs. Upgrading the BIOS may require a different CPU that is supported by older BIOS revisions."
