hello so i just bought a new pc with a gtx 550 ti and 16 gb ram and i was wondering if i could upgrade it to a gtx 1060 ti mini or 1060 ti?
Can i upgrade from a gtx 550 ti to a gtx 1060 ti mini or 160 ti

A 1060 will require a 6 pin pci-ex connector. So even if you have a 500W power supply, unless the power supply has that connector you'd be better off with a 1050 Ti, some models of which do not require that connector.
You may need to go into the motherboard bios and shut off secure boot as well. You could probably get more info on possible Acer bios issues by looking at videos on Youtube of people upgrading their Acers.
