Hello,

I am building my first PC and im at the point of removing the AM4 bracket (the 2 pieces of plastic on both sides) and its screws off the mobo so that i can put the CPU cooler on, buuuuuut there screwed in like 50x more than they should be. PLEASE HELP, The motherboard is also already in the case. Am i doing something wrong?

EDIT: The mobo is ASUS ROG Strix AM4
Thanks!!

I would take the board out. I'm just guessing here, but I'm thinking you are turning the screw, but not holding the nut on the other side so it's just spinning. You'll need to hold the nut with some pliers and then turn it. Do you need to remove it? What heatsink are you using?

Ok, ill try taking the mobo out, but i was just twisting the screw towards the left, nothing happens meaning that it just doesn't turn or anything. it feels like its glued on ore something

Nope, taking it out didnt make a difference

Yeah i need to remove it, and im trying to place the stock heat sink/cooler
