I received a new GPU for Christmas, and am trying to swap out my old one for the new one. I swapped them out physically from my PC, and downloaded the programs that the new GPU said I needed from the specified site. Is there anything else I need to do or am I all set? Everything has been running fine so far, but as this is my first major upgrade, I am unsure if I did it properly or not.

Solution
You should have uninstalled the old driver before removing the old GPU. What are the two GPUs? You can use Display Driver Uninstaller even if you've already physically removed the old GPU.

Then you should install the new GPU's latest driver from either Nvidia or AMD's website.

The new GPU is the MSI - Radeon RX 580 4GB GAMING X Video Card, while the old GPU was the MSI - Radeon R9 270 2GB TWIN FROZR Video Card. The Display Driver Uninstaller says I need to create a recovery point or something along that lines, what do I do? It also abruptly stopped asking for a recovery point (I did not do anything) and then started going through files and black screened my PC. It crashed my second monitor, and I'm assuming removed my current/new drivers. I had to reinstall the current driver for the current/new RX 580 GPU and both monitors are now working again.
