So, i have a 7600k, 16GB of DDR4 RAM at 2400Mhz, and a r9 280x (3gb) and I did a Cinebench test and for the CPU got 701cb, I overclocked to 4.0 (Factory 3.8) and put the voltage to 1.1, and I only got 560.. I got a worse score...

Solution

how long?

prime probably should be run for 12-24 hours to check if it's a good overclock

-Other option would be you turned off the turbo (maybe?) and the turbo speed for that chip is 4.2 I think.

Yeah I kinda read more on it and I heard it really doesn't make a difference unless you go above 4.2GHZ, and it took me to go to 4.4 to get a increase in score. But really at least 12 hours? My computer would melt haha. I don't exactly have the best cooler, hence why I wasn't overclocking too much or trying to go too high. Plus this computer is so annoying, while making my computer we had to put the radiator on the bottom usually where intake fans are, and we screwed it in while it was touching the frame and now its loud, plus the "smart fan curve" was really messed up, it was boosting it to like 40% when its only at 30C... My idle temp is 25C haha
