Hello! As of right now, I have a GTX 1080 on the way and will be delivered to my house by 1/02/18. I am wondering if my current cpu will bottleneck it? Here are my specs

8GB DDR4 Memory
MSI GTX 960 4GB OCE Edition
AMD FX-4300 Quad-Core Processor, 3800 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s)
EVGA 650W 80+ Gold powersupply
GA-78LMT-S2 Motherboard from Gigabyte

Will my current cpu bottleneck a 1080 or should I upgrade? If I do need to upgrade, what is the cheapest cpu to go with the card as I am a bit short of money after purchasing the 1080. Thanks!

Hello,
This will severely bottleneck a gtx 1080 i currently have a 1060 and my fx 8350 bottlenecks!
I dont think you have ddr4 since the motherboard doesn't support it.

For a 1080 i would suggest getting either a new generation i5 or a ryzen 7 because its pcie lanes.

So a motherboard ram and cpu will cost you around £400
