perfectly good rapid mode is not much benefit unless you have lots of spare ram that you do not need

RAPID mode? Don't bother. The benchmark may look "holy crap" awesome, but real world actual performance, not so much.

An 850 EVO on a SATA II port will give you exactly the same performance as you see now with the 120GB 840.
The SATA II port is the limiting factor.

I replaced SSD because the storage and 840 EVO bug... but my drive not have this bug?

Because I thought you said you were going to change to a SATA III port.

Your current drive has no 'bug' (if you're on the latest firmware).
Your limiting factor is the SATA II port.
