Can 3 pin fan be controlled in a 4 pin header on MSI z370 Tomahawk Motherboard?

Hi, I'm getting Coolmaster's Sickle Flow blue LED 120mm fans. They have a 3 pin conector. I was wondering if this would plug into my motherboard, which only has 4 pin fan headers. If this would work, would I also be able to control the fan speed?

No problem. The mobo accommodates both 3 and 4 pin fans. Line up the tabs on the fan connector and the header. It only fits in one way. The mobo will control the fan speed. FYI - 3 pins are voltage controlled and 4 pin fans are PWM controlled.

They will work and yes, you will be able to control their speed in the BIOS. 3 Pin fans are not PWM but motherboards are still able to change their speed with voltage.
