cpu temp at 100c and fans going crazy

so i recently bought a new gpu, motherboard and powersupply. when i first start up the pc the fans go crazy fast and then stop when the pc has finished booting up. when i launch a game my fans go crazy and my cpu temp goes to 100c. i dont want to ruin my cpuso im not going to play any for now. any help ?

If your heatsink fan is working, then likely not refreshing the paste is the cause, or the heatsink is not mounted correctly. Redoing it will eliminate that being a possibility, and likely fix the problem.

i havnt applied any new paste, i left the old one, do you think that could make my cpu temp 100c ?
my fans are turning at 1100 rpm and 4515 rpm

how do i reseat the heatsink and what is the heatsink.

o ok, no i know how to, just didnt know the name. what if i put thermal paste on it and the temperatures and fans are still crazy
