Hi, i have a problem, maybe someone can help me.

I had a GigaByte GA-Z270-Gaming 3 motherboard: 6th and 7th generation Intel Socket 1151.
Now i got an Asus Maximus Hero IV moterboard (6th and 7th generation Intel Socket 1151 too).
It's supposed the Asus is expansive and maybe better but i have this problem with cooling system.

First i tell you my setup:

CPU: Intel Core i7 7700k - 1151
RAM: G Skill TridentZ RGB 3200MHZ CL16 - 8GB x2 - Total: 16GB dual channel.
VGA: Asus Strix Geforce 1080 TI 11GB RAM
SDD: Savage HyperX 240GB (Primary)
HDD: WESTERN DIGITAL WD30PURZ-85GU6Y0 - 3TB (Secondary)
COOLING: GameStorm Captain 240ex.

Well the cooling system is liquid and have 2 fans and a radiator that i put in the top of my gaming case and the fans are put to take the air "out".
Well since the cooling system comes with an splitter that have 4 inputs and then 1 output to a motherboard fan controller i have attached both fans to this splitter and THEN it goes to 1 CHA_FAN.
The problem with this setup is that is too loud. The fans sometimes spin, and other times they spin too much.

I remember that when i had the previous mohterboard (GA-Z270-Gaming 3) it was quite easy: i had liquid cooler plugged to CPU_FAN and the splitter to a CHA_FAN and every was quite and good.

Now: The Asus Maximus IV have a lot of connectors. So a said: "it's easy" i plug the water cooling system to CPU_FAN and the Splitter to one CHA_FAN. Not a good idea -> too loud.
So i plugged the cooling system to W_PUMP+ (3A 36W) but my question is:
Where do i plug the splitter?

The motherboard have CHA_FAN1, CHA_FAN2, CHA_FAN3, AIO_PUMP, CPU_OPT, CPU_FAN, H_AMP and EXT_FAN
Too many connectors.

Any help?

Sorry, that didn't solve my problem.
The thing is that the i7 7700k makes temperature picks and that causes to oscilate the fans too much. So plugging them in CPU_FAN and CPU_OPT causes more laudness than before becouse is CPU temp dependant. Intel's website has a thread complaining about this particullary thing of the CPU.

I think that GigaByte board was better. They seem more solid than ASUS. I know that ASUS has made even Notebooks and things like that.

Anyway i found a solution. I plugged the splitter into H_FAN (which what i found is the ASUS way to call it more powerful connectors or "High Ampered") and the problem solved. This fan connector is software controled and is a little more louder than Gigabyte's motherboard.

I tried that: no success. The motherboard has a "calibrate" all fans function. I also tried fan by fan: no success neither.
The thing is why ASUS makes a motherboard that is some buggy. For example: i plug the water cooling to W_PUMP+ fan connector and i leave CPU_FAN empty. The BIOS throws error "no connection to CPU_FAN or change the lower limit to IGNORE so this message doesn't bother you anymore". First i changed the lower limit to IGNORE and the BIOS didn't complein anymore, but when i said "buggy" is that THEN the option died in the sense that keeping IGNORE and throwed me the ERROR.
Why GigaByte motherboard didn't have problems? I'll never buy an ASUS mother again. There was a lot of people with this problem and ASUS phone tech support told them that "sorry". Listen or read that: "SORRY". That's inadmisible.
F**C off ASUS.
