Hi, what's the best budget cpu liquid cooler for overclocking?

Specs:

Ryzen 3 1200
GTX960
seasonic m12-ii 520w
Adata dazzle xpg (1x8gb)
500gb hdd

Thanks in advance! :)

Corsair H60 would be the best in my opinion. I use it for my Ryzen build and it does not require any fancy back plate to mount it on your am4 mobo and it definitely keeps my cpu cool.

Yeah the h60 is definitely the way to go. My friend has it for his 1700 that he has overclocked to 3.8, and he gets idle temps of like 25.

Can I ask why you would spend half the cost of your entry level cpu on a cooler that won’t get you significantly more performance than a cheap air cooler (all Ryzens top out from 3.8-4 regardless of cooler)?

The same $200 (1200 plus all in one) could have bought an R5 1600 that comes with a good cooler so you could still overclock.

Under 150$ any liquid cooler is a crap.
Any decent 40-80$ air cooler will keep processor cooler at lower noise than any shinny crap wannabe liquid cooler under 150$.
not to mention that most liquid coolers are made in the same factory by asetek.

Would be the same with an air cooler, idle temps have more to do with the ambient temp and case cooling than the performance of the CPU cooler.

At load a good air cooler with outperform the H60 easily.

Liquid cooling is a complete waste of money on an R3 in the 1st place, using the OEM fan is good enough.

Exactly correct.

Wow! I didn't expect to get so much answers in a short period of time. This will actually be my first time overclocking so I'm still learning so many new things. I guess I'll go for the H60. :D

Thank you so much for your help guys!

Hi,

I just bought my ryzen 3 1200 from a close friend here in Philippines for P3,500 only which cost about 70 dollars I guess. He only used it for 2 weeks and bought ryzen 7.

It's almost half the brand new price so I didn't hesitate to buy it. :D

Nope, I wouldn't either, complete waste of money, that one especially.

Loud and doesn't cool very well compared to any half decent Air Cooler.
