I am upgrading my mobo, cpu, and ram on my pc but I was trying to avoid wiping my HDD. I plan to reinstall windows 8.1 oem on my SSD when the parts come in but it would save time not to redownload all of my games if the new OS install will still read the HDD. (it's about 3TB of games and my ISP charges for data usage over 1TB in a billing cycle) The only thing I can foresee is that the registry keys for some games might be different/not there if I put it with a fresh OS install.
I'm fairly sure I need to start fresh but please let me know if there is a reliable way around this.
