Hello. Before reading this, be aware this is my first time building so there are some things I'm somewhat inexperienced with, so take what I say with a grain of salt. I'm just looking for advice
Right now I'm currently building an i7-8700k build. I've already chosen the case and currently running a system that houses a GTX 1080 along with a 550w corsair PSU, however the case, mobo, and cpu are all outdated by about 5 years, hence why i'm looking to upgrade. Now I've narrowed down my mobo search to what you see in the title: a Gigabyte z370 gaming 7 and an Asus ROG maximus x hero. The problem i'm facing is I can't quite decide which is worth it. They both seem to perform the same benchmark wise (please correct me if i'm wrong), however from what I've seen the gigabyte MOBO seems to come with a BIOS that is not userfriendly to the point where it even deters people from buying the mobo, however i've also heard that the failure rate of the asus mobo along with the companies customer service and RMA being horrid. So what would you all recommend?
