Alright so ive been noticing that I get insane drops, where the game freezes for a quick second, on Gmod.. I know the game isnt that optimized but considering I can run most games on Ultra and not get a lag spike is kinda weird. Whats the problem?
Specs:
i5-7600k
DDR4 2400MHz 16GB
R9 280x (3GB)
EVGA 500W.
I can play games like Far Cry 4 (and primal) at ultra and get 0 lag spikes, i get no lag spikes in ANY games, except Gmod. A toaster can run this game. Any ideas? I get about 150 in game when uncapped but when at the default cap I get an average of 120 or so, but then get the bad lag spikes. And no its not internet lag, its actual lag where my FPS drops to like 5 for a second, I checked my temps, all good, I checked task manager while a lag spike happened, CPU was below 40%
