Hey, i just got the Asus ROG Swift PG27AQ 4K Monitor and i will be using it for my new pc occasionally, but i also bought it so that i could hook up my xbox one x and my ps4 pro and play those in 4k as well. but when i turn them on its only displaying in 1080p 60hz, and when i go to the ps4 resolution settings both of the 2160 options are greyed out and say unsupported. theres no options on the monitor itself to change the resolution or anything so idk what to do now.

Solution

If you can find one, then yes I believe so. But make certain you are getting an HDMI 2.0 to DP 1.2 adapter. NOT a DP to HDMI 2.0 adapter. It won't work in reverse, and while there are a ton of DP 1.2 to HDMI 2.0 adapters, I can only find descriptions of HDMI 2.0 to DP 1.2 adapters and no actual products for sale.

Are you using older HDMI cables? Possible bandwidth issues?

no, theres no setting in the monitor to change that and the xbox one x and the ps4 doesnt allow me to change it in their settings, ive found and hdmi 2.0 to display port 1.2 adapter, if i get that, that should allow for 4k 60hz right?
