I bought Zotac GTX 1080 Ti AMP! Extreme Core ~1month ago. Everything worked well, untill today when I changed my old SSD and HDD to one SSD disk. After building up my PC and making fresh install of Windows i noticed that RGB light on my GPU doesn't work, also GPU minimum fans speed is 30%. I cant run my gpu passively or manualy slowing down the fans. 30% is the strange barier. I am frustraded cause i don't know what should I do. I tried this fix -> http://www.daleschroeder.com/public/Zotac_Spectra_Lighting_Fix.zip but didn't work.
Is that problem can be solved by software or I should use my warranty.

Solution
Okey I found the solution.

In general its simple, GPU is too heavy and has trouble to properly seat in PCI slot. I had to reorganize cable management and now GPU spreads the weight between PCI slot and power cables.

I installed exactly the same drivers and led control software. In this case: newest Nvidia drivers and FireStorm from Zotac to control LED but tab "Spectre" wher user can control LED lightning is grayed out for some reason.

So with same steps you get different results. Possible causes of this include:
> something got disconnected when installing new drive - reseat card and check all its connections
> conflict between currently running Windows version/drivers/Zotac software - make sure Windows got all updates, check with previous versions of nvidia drivers/Zotac software
> is there something in Zotac software that has to be enable first before you can manually change card settings?
If nothing above helps, then it is a possibility of a hardware failure, albeit strange one - I guess card works fine aside fans and LEDs problem?

Yes, card works fine, excluding fans and LEDs problem. I reseated card and checked his connections -> all good

> conflict between currently running Windows version/drivers/Zotac software - make sure Windows got all updates, check with previous versions of nvidia drivers/Zotac software
-> I'm going to check this by coming few days when all available Windows update will be downloaded. Zptac and Nvidia drivers are up to date.

> is there something in Zotac software that has to be enable first before you can manually change card settings?
-> No, whole tab to manipulating the LEDs are grayed out. Looks like software doesn't properly detected that my cards has LEDs.
The fun part is that the GPU should lighting up by default. Unfortunately GPU doesn't lights up even if I haven't installed any software yet.

Actually, there is a faster way to check that out, if you still have old Windows installation intact on old drives - you could temporary disconnect new drive and boot old one. Since it worked before, it should also work now - and failure to do so would actually be a strong proof of hardware problem with GPU.

Oh yeah, sag can cause lot of trouble. One of the solutions found there - "built a support using spare legos bricks" - is really funny :) but who cares when it works.
